Used Pioneer XDJ, standalone rekordbox without the laptop

XDJ is Pioneer's USB-only range. The all-in-ones put two decks and a mixer in one case, so you plug in a rekordbox USB and play with nothing else on the table. The standalone XDJ players do the same job as a CDJ without the disc drive and link to any DJM mixer. Every unit here has had its jogs, pads, faders, screen and USB slots tested in our Battersea workshop, then a deep clean and an honest cosmetic grade before listing.

All-in-ones on the shelf run from the two channel XDJ RX, RX2 and current RX3, through the XDJ RR, up to the four channel XDJ XZ and the AlphaTheta XDJ AZ. Buying a used XDJ, answered

XDJ RX2 or XDJ RX3, which should I buy used?

The RX3 has the bigger 10.1in screen and newer software, the RX2 does the same two channel job for noticeably less. If you mainly play from USB at home or at bar gigs, a serviced RX2 is the value buy. If you want the current layout for club practice, go RX3.

Does a used XDJ need a laptop?

No. All-in-ones and standalone XDJ players read rekordbox USB sticks directly. You prepare tracks on a laptop with rekordbox, export to USB and then play without it. Most models also connect to a laptop if you prefer to run rekordbox or Serato live.

Do used XDJs come with a warranty?

Yes. Premium grade units carry 6 months and Excellent, Good and Fair carry 3 months, with free return postage on any claim. The grade describes the cosmetics only, every unit is fully working.
