About the Pioneer XDJ 1000 MK2
The Pioneer XDJ 1000 MK2 is a sophisticated USB media player designed to give DJs a club-style experience without needing CDs. It features a 7-inch full-colour touch display, which shows waveforms, beat grids, cue points and browsing tools right at your fingertips. The unit supports lossless FLAC and ALAC alongside MP3, WAV, AIFF and AAC, giving you more flexibility in file types. The jog wheel is full size (206 mm) and follows the layout of Pioneer’s flagship CDJ hardware, offering a familiar control feel to pro DJs.
In performance terms, the XDJ 1000 MK2 comes loaded with essential tools like Quantize, Slip Mode, Beat Jump / Loop Move, Hot Cue, Reverse and Loop Adjust. It also supports Pro DJ Link, letting you network up to four units (or link with laptops) via LAN to share beat grids and track data. A new addition in this version is a digital (coaxial) output for sending clean, unaltered audio, and the analogue and digital sections use separate power supplies to reduce interference.
On the output side, you have an RCA analogue out and a digital coax out. The unit’s S/N ratio is rated around 115 dB, and distortion is kept below 0.01%. The unit is compact for what it offers: approximately 305 × 382.5 × 110 mm in size, and it weighs about 3.7 kg.
Overall, the XDJ 1000 MK2 balances performance, compatibility and portability. It’s ideal for DJs who want advanced features, like lossless audio support and a professional layout, without the cost or bulk of a full CDJ setup.

Pioneer XDJ 1000 MK2 FAQ
Does the XDJ 1000 MK2 play CDs?
No. It is USB only, which keeps it lighter and more affordable than a CDJ while giving you the same rekordbox USB workflow.
What is the difference between the XDJ 1000 and the XDJ 1000 MK2?
The layout is the same. The MK2 adds FLAC and ALAC playback, the digital coaxial output and the improved audio circuitry with separate analogue and digital power supplies. If you don’t need those, the original XDJ 1000 does the same core job.
Will the XDJ 1000 MK2 work with my mixer?
Yes. The RCA output connects to any DJ mixer. For Pro DJ Link features such as shared libraries and beat sync, connect the players by LAN cable, either directly to a DJM with a built-in LAN hub such as the DJM 900 NXS2 or through a network switch.
XDJ 1000 MK2 or CDJ 2000 NXS2?
The CDJ 2000 NXS2 adds a disc drive and SD card slot and is what most club booths have. The XDJ 1000 MK2 gives you the same rekordbox USB workflow and a full-size jog for less. Want two? We also list XDJ 1000 MK2 pairs.

Great experience! I picked up two xdj1000mk2, they made me try them out before and they're great, and at a great price!
Read all 251 Google reviews →Bought an XDJ 1000MK2 which arrived well wrapped up. Tested the deck and worked really well. I used a faulty usb stick (not knowing it was faulty at the time) and the music kept freezing and the xdj won't play. I was advised to update the software & firmware which I was shown how to do with a step by step video. This didn't resolve the issue. I returned it back which he paid for & it was sent to a service specialist. They had a look & realised my usb must be faulty. So they sent it back to me & I used a newer usb stick and the xdj worked perfect!!!! To make sure it wasn't the xdj & it was my usb stick, I put the usb stick in a different xdj 1000mk2 I own and the same problem happened. Safe to say the XDJ is in perfect working order!!! The seller handled the situation well and was prompt on getting everything sorted with a quick turnaround which he did. I'll be buying from him again for sure!! Great service great product 👌🏽
