Used Pioneer DDJ controllers, tested pad by pad
DDJ is Pioneer's laptop controller range for rekordbox and Serato, and it is where most DJs start. A used one saves a lot against new, as long as somebody has actually tested it. Ours go across the bench in our Battersea workshop where every pad, jog, fader, knob and button is checked, the USB sound card is tested through both outputs and the case is deep cleaned before the unit is graded and listed.
The range covers two channel starters like the DDJ 400 and DDJ 800, the four channel DDJ 1000, FLX6, FLX10, SX2, SX3 and SZ2, and the motorised jog DDJ REV5 and REV7 for scratch DJs. Serato and rekordbox versions are marked in each listing. Want to play from USB without a laptop? See the XDJ all-in-ones.
Buying a used DDJ, answered
Which used DDJ controller is best for a beginner?
A two channel DDJ 400 covers everything you need to learn on and holds its value well. If you already know you want club-style jogs and four channels, a used DDJ 800 or DDJ 1000 skips the upgrade later.
Does a used DDJ come with the software licence?
On supported models rekordbox or Serato DJ Lite unlocks when the controller is plugged in, so no licence key is needed. Full Serato DJ Pro requires a subscription or a Pro-enabled controller such as the DDJ SX3, SZ2 or REV7, which are marked in the listing.
Do used DDJ controllers come with a warranty?
Yes. Premium grade units carry 6 months and Excellent, Good and Fair carry 3 months, with free return postage on any claim. Every unit is fully working whatever the grade.
Will you buy my old DDJ?
Yes. Get an instant quote on the sell your equipment page or part exchange it against anything here. Same-day payment once the unit arrives and passes testing.
