About the controller
The Pioneer DDJ REV7 is a professional 2-channel scratch-style DJ controller that brings genuine turntable feel to a controller format. Its headline feature is MOTOR DRIVE: two 7-inch motorised jog wheels that spin like real vinyl, complete with slipmats and on-jog displays showing artwork, BPM and playback position. Combined with the MAGVEL FADER PRO crossfader, it delivers the closest thing to a turntables-and-battle-mixer setup without the weight of two decks.
The layout mirrors a classic battle setup, with long tempo sliders above the decks, FX paddles for quick effect throws, and 16 performance pads for cues, loops, rolls and sampler duties. It works natively with Serato DJ Pro and also supports rekordbox, so you can plug into whichever ecosystem you already use. Hardware includes XLR and RCA master outputs, a booth output, two mic inputs and dual USB ports for smooth DJ changeovers.
The DDJ REV7 has become the go-to controller for scratch and open-format DJs who want real platter feedback for juggling and turntablism practice. It is a heavyweight, road-proven unit, and the motorised platters mean techniques learned here transfer straight to real turntables.
