Used Pioneer DDJ 1000 and DDJ 800 prices in 2026: what to pay and what yours is worth

The DDJ 1000 and DDJ 800 are the two rekordbox controllers that brought club-style jogs with on-jog displays to a laptop setup, and they are the ones people ask us about most when they are pricing a used controller. This guide gives the numbers from our own records: what each sold for through our workshop over the last six months and what our sell calculator offers today. Figures were checked on 17 September 2026 and the live listing or calculator takes precedence on the day.

Used DDJ 1000 and DDJ 800 prices in 2026: the short answer

• DDJ 1000: £750 Fair to £950 Premium to buy from us, typical sale about £885. Selling one, the calculator offers £500 to £650 depending on grade.
• DDJ 800: £500 Fair to £675 Premium to buy, typical sale about £655. Selling, expect £365 to £440.
• DDJ 1000 SRT (Serato): priced in line with the rekordbox version, quoted individually because we see fewer of them.

DDJ 1000: four channels and full-size jogs

The DDJ 1000 gives you four channels, full-size mechanical jogs with displays in the centre, and the DJM-style FX section, all driving rekordbox on a laptop. It is the controller people buy when they want the club layout without buying players. Over the last six months we sold around 20 at a median of about £885, nearly all between £860 and £950. Our grade prices are £750 Fair, £850 Good, £900 Excellent and £950 Premium. Controllers depreciate faster than players, and the DDJ 1000 has been superseded by the FLX10, which is why a serviced one now costs around half its original price.

DDJ 800: the two channel version

The DDJ 800 is the DDJ 1000 cut down to two channels in a smaller case, with the same style of jog display and FX. It sold at a median of about £655, from £500 Fair to £675 Premium. If you do not need four channels, it is the same feel for around £250 less and fits a smaller desk.

What yours is worth if you are selling

The sell calculator sets its offer from what we actually paid over the last 180 days. Today it offers £650 Premium, £600 Excellent, £550 Good and £500 Fair for a DDJ 1000, and £440 Premium, £415 Excellent, £390 Good and £365 Fair for a DDJ 800. What moves a controller's price

• Jog wheels. The mechanical jogs on both models can develop play or a scratchy feel. They are tested and adjusted on our bench, and a jog that is not right is the most common reason a marketplace unit is cheap.
• Pads and buttons. Performance pads that need a hard press and cue buttons that bounce are wear items. Every pad is pressed and every button checked before we grade a controller.
• Faders and crossfader. Worked through their full travel on the bench. A crossfader that cuts out is a repair we do rather than a fault we pass on.
• USB and sound card. Tested through both outputs with a laptop. Cheap to fix when worn, and a classic private-sale surprise.
• Grade. Cosmetic only. A Fair grade DDJ 1000 saves you £200 and plays the same.

Which one, and what comes next

If you play with four sources or want the club layout to practise on, the DDJ 1000 is the buy. If two channels are enough, the DDJ 800 does the same job for less. Both carry our warranty, 6 months on Premium and 3 months on other grades, with free return postage.
