The Technics SL-1200 MK7 is the latest evolution of the world's most iconic DJ turntable, reborn for a new generation of DJs without compromising the legendary build quality and performance that made the original a club standard. Introduced in 2019, the MK7 brings modern refinements to the classic SL-1200 formula, including a newly developed coreless direct drive motor that eliminates cogging for ultra-smooth, consistent platter rotation. The result is a turntable that feels as precise and responsive as ever, whether you're mixing, scratching, or playing back vinyl with audiophile accuracy.

At the heart of the MK7 is Technics' signature high-torque direct drive system, delivering rapid start-up times and rock-solid platter stability under all conditions. The redesigned motor reduces vibration and electromagnetic interference, resulting in a cleaner signal path and improved audio fidelity compared to earlier models. The pitch control range has been expanded to ±8%, ±16%, and ±50%, giving DJs greater flexibility for beatmatching across a wide range of tempos. A dedicated reset button allows instant return to 0% pitch, making live corrections fast and effortless.

The MK7 features a newly designed tonearm with improved tracking accuracy and reduced resonance, ensuring faithful playback of every groove in your vinyl. The S-shaped tonearm is fully adjustable, with anti-skate control and a removable headshell for quick cartridge swaps. The platter itself is a die-cast aluminium design with a rubber mat, providing excellent damping and a stable surface for performance. The chassis is built to the same exacting standards as the original, with a heavy-duty construction that absorbs vibration and withstands the rigours of professional use.

Connectivity is comprehensive, with standard RCA phono outputs and a dedicated ground terminal for use with any DJ mixer or phono preamp. The MK7 also features a USB output for direct digital recording to a computer, making it ideal for digitising vinyl collections.
