About the Pioneer CDJ 3000

The Pioneer CDJ 3000 is the most advanced and powerful multi-player in the CDJ series, built for demanding professional use. Featuring a redesigned audio architecture, it delivers the cleanest, most detailed sound Pioneer has produced in a DJ deck. With 96 kHz / 32-bit floating-point audio processing, the CDJ 3000 preserves every nuance of your music, whether you're playing WAV, FLAC, ALAC or MP3 files.

One of the standout upgrades is the 9-inch high-resolution touchscreen, which offers intuitive browsing, waveform stacking and touch preview. You can sort and access playlists faster, view detailed track data, and even cue from any point in the waveform without interrupting playback. Key Sync and Key Shift also bring new creative possibilities, adjusting the key of your tracks for seamless harmonic mixing.

Physically, the CDJ 3000 introduces the smoothest, most precise jog wheel Pioneer has made, with reduced latency and a more premium feel. It also has an eight hot cue layout with backlit buttons, making performance and live remixing more fluid. The player links easily with other gear using Pro DJ Link, letting you share one USB across multiple decks, sync BPM, lighting (via RB-DMX1) and effects with DJM mixers. The MPU (Micro Processing Unit) keeps everything fast, from boot-up to loading tracks and browsing libraries.

Whether you're setting up a high-end home booth or upgrading your touring rider, the CDJ 3000 represents the pinnacle of Pioneer’s engineering. It’s built to last, with a rugged metal chassis, reinforced play/pause buttons and the mechanical stability to handle travel and long club sets. If you're looking for a future-proof, club-grade player that delivers on sound, build and performance, the CDJ 3000 is the standard.

Pioneer CDJ 3000 FAQ

Does the Pioneer CDJ 3000 play CDs?

No. The CDJ 3000 dropped the disc drive. It plays from USB and SD card, and can also play tracks from rekordbox on a laptop over Pro DJ Link.

CDJ 3000 or CDJ 2000 NXS2, which should I buy used?

The CDJ 2000 NXS2 is still in plenty of booths, keeps a CD drive and costs less used. The CDJ 3000 adds the larger 9-inch touchscreen (the NXS2 has 7 inches), the faster MPU, Key Shift and the redesigned jog. If you play out on current club setups, the 3000 is the one to learn on.

How much is a used CDJ 3000?

It depends on the condition grade, and the live price for each grade is shown above. Our used CDJ 3000 price guide breaks down what they sell for and what yours is worth if you’re selling.

Should I buy one CDJ 3000 or a pair?

Most DJs run two. We list singles, so you can build a pair or replace one deck, and matched Pioneer CDJ 3000 pairs. The newer AlphaTheta CDJ 3000X adds a 10.1-inch screen and built-in Wi-Fi if you want the latest model.
