Used Pioneer CDJ 900, CDJ 900 Nexus and CDJ 850 prices in 2026

Not everyone needs a CDJ 2000. The CDJ 900, its Nexus update and the CDJ 850 give you a full-size Pioneer player with a proper jog and rekordbox USB playback for a fraction of flagship money, and they are what a lot of home and bar setups are built on. This guide sets out what each costs used in 2026 using our own records: what they sold for through our workshop over the last six months and what our sell calculator offers today. Used CDJ 900 and CDJ 850 prices in 2026: the short answer

• CDJ 900 Nexus: £500 Fair to £725 Premium to buy from us, typical sale about £660. Selling one, the calculator offers £350 to £500.
• CDJ 900 (original): £350 Fair to £500 Premium to buy, typical sale about £390. Selling, expect roughly £250 to £300 depending on grade.
• CDJ 850: £250 Fair to £375 Premium to buy, typical sale about £320. Selling, the calculator offers £140 to £250.
• Pairs: CDJ 900 Nexus pairs around £1,350, CDJ 850 pairs from about £500.

CDJ 900 Nexus: the budget club player

The 900 Nexus is the one we sell most of the three. It has Pro DJ Link, beat sync and quantise like a CDJ 2000 Nexus, in a slightly smaller body with a smaller jog. Over the last six months we sold around 36 of them at a median of about £660, almost all between £500 and £725. If you want two linked players that behave like the club decks without paying CDJ 2000 money, this is the model. Our current grade prices are £500 Fair, £575 Good, £675 Excellent and £725 Premium.

CDJ 900: the original

The pre-Nexus CDJ 900 plays rekordbox USB and links for library sharing but has no beat sync. It sells for about £390 typically, from £350 Fair to £500 Premium, and we see fewer of them than the Nexus. It is a sound first full-size player if the price is right, but a CDJ 900 Nexus is usually worth the extra £150 or so for the sync and the better screen.

CDJ 850: the cheapest full-size Pioneer

The CDJ 850 is the entry point to full-size Pioneer players. It has the big jog and rekordbox USB support, no Link and a simpler screen. Typical sale about £320, from £250 Fair to £375 Premium. It is a good way to learn the CDJ layout on a tight budget, and it holds its value well enough that trading up later does not cost much.

What yours is worth if you are selling

The sell calculator sets its offer from what we actually paid over the last 180 days. Today it offers £500 Premium, £450 Excellent, £400 Good and £350 Fair for a CDJ 900 Nexus, and £250 Premium down to £140 Fair for a CDJ 850 (the CDJ 850 figure was updated on 22 September 2026). The original CDJ 900 is quoted on the same basis from the smaller number we have bought. Full setups are collected free in the UK and paid the same day the units arrive and pass the bench. What moves the price

• Grade. Cosmetic only. Every player is serviced and bench-tested in our Battersea workshop before it is listed, so a Fair grade unit works exactly like a Premium one.
• Jog and buttons. These players have lived long lives in bars, so worn cue and play buttons and jogs with play in them are common on untested units. Ours are checked and adjusted before grading.
• USB slot. A port that needs a wiggle is the classic reason a marketplace 850 goes cheap. It is a small repair and one we do on the service page.
• Pairs. Two of the same model and grade list as a pair, which is how most buyers want them.

Which one, and what next

For a home setup that will one day move to club gear, a pair of CDJ 900 Nexus is the best value of the three because it links and syncs like the big players. For the tightest budget, a single CDJ 850 next to a mixer you already own gets you learning on a real jog.
