About the speaker

The Yamaha HS7 is the middle child of the HS range and, for a lot of rooms, the sweet spot. The white woofer carries the DNA of Yamaha’s legendary NS-10, the reference speaker that defined how mixes were checked for decades, and the HS7 follows the same brief: tell you the truth about your mix rather than flatter it.

The 6.5 inch woofer gives it noticeably more low end authority than the HS5 without demanding the space an HS8 wants. Reaching down to 43Hz, it handles bass-driven music honestly in a typical home studio or spare room, and the 95W bi-amped design keeps plenty of headroom before anything strains.

Round the back you get balanced XLR and TRS inputs for a clean connection to an interface, mixer or DJ setup, plus Room Control and High Trim switches. If the speaker has to live close to a wall, one flick pulls the bass build-up back into line, which makes a real difference in untreated rooms.

If you want the flat, honest HS sound with more weight than the HS5 but your room will not do an 8 inch speaker justice, the HS7 is the one to get.
