About the speaker

The VM-70 is the middle speaker in Pioneer DJ’s VM range and the one most home DJs end up with. Built by the same company as the CDJs and DJMs it sits beside, it is tuned for mixing first: solid, physical low end response with enough accuracy to produce and edit on as well.

The 6.5 inch woofer gives it a proper step up in weight over the VM-50. Kick drums and basslines come through with real presence at booth levels, helped by the Vortex Bass Accelerator port design that keeps the bass tight instead of boomy. The aluminium front baffle stiffens the cabinet and gives the VM series its distinctive hexagon look.

On the rear you get the DSP EQ that makes these speakers so easy to live with: low and high dials with 16 positions each, so you can tune out the boom of a wall placement or brighten a dull corner in seconds. Balanced XLR and TRS inputs connect cleanly to a mixer booth output or an audio interface, and auto standby saves power between sessions.
