About the turntable
The Pioneer PLX-1000 is a professional direct drive turntable built for DJs who want the classic club layout with modern build quality. Many DJs put it side by side with the Technics 1210, and the start/stop button, tempo slider and tonearm all sit where you expect them.
The direct drive motor delivers 4.5 kg/cm of starting torque, so the platter comes up to speed almost instantly and holds pitch steady while you cue and mix. The heavy die-cast chassis and insulated feet keep resonance and unwanted vibration out of the signal. The multi-tempo control switches between plus or minus 8%, 16% and 50%, covering everything from straight beat matching to creative turntablism, and it plays at 33 and 45 rpm.
Audio and power cables are detachable, with gold-plated RCA outputs and a separate ground terminal, so a damaged lead is a simple swap. The S-shaped tonearm with a standard headshell mount takes the cartridge you already own, and the deck works with rekordbox DVS and Serato DJ Pro using control vinyl.
Ideal as a second deck to match a turntable you already have, a replacement for a worn club deck, or the first half of a full vinyl setup.
