Which generation?

G3: glass-aramid composite drivers, Class A/B bi-amped power and a front-firing bass port. The classic warmer Rokit sound, and the cheapest way in.
G4: a big step up. Kevlar woofer and tweeter, efficient Class D power, a DSP-driven graphic EQ with 25 settings on a rear LCD, and an iso-foam pad on the base to decouple it from your desk.
G5: the current generation. Kevlar drivers, a redesigned tweeter waveguide, and onboard DSP room tuning that works with the KRK app.

About the speaker

The KRK Rokit 5 is one of the best selling studio monitors ever made, and you will spot the yellow cones in bedroom studios and DJ booths everywhere. It is a 5 inch active two-way design that gives producers and DJs a proper monitoring sound at a sensible price.

The low end is punchy for the size, which suits bass-led genres like house, hip-hop and electronic music, while the mids and highs stay clear enough to make real mix decisions on. The later generations are tuned flatter and more honest than the older ones, so a G4 or G5 makes a genuinely trustworthy reference for a small room.

Because we sell them as singles, you can build a pair one speaker at a time, add a third for a DJ booth monitor, or replace one half of a pair that has died. Match the generation and condition if you want a consistent stereo image.
