The Pioneer XDJ 1000 MK2 is a sophisticated USB media player designed to give DJs a club-style experience without needing CDs. It features a 7-inch full-colour touch display, which shows waveforms, beat grids, cue points, and browsing tools right at your fingertips. The unit supports high-resolution formats, including FLAC and ALAC up to 24-bit / 48 kHz, in addition to MP3, WAV, AIFF, and AAC, giving you more flexibility in file types. The jog wheel is full size (206 mm) and adopts the layout of Pioneer’s flagship CDJ hardware, offering a familiar control feel to pro DJs.
In performance terms, the XDJ 1000 MK2 comes loaded with essential tools like Quantize, Slip Mode, Beat Jump / Loop Move, Hot Cue, Reverse, and Loop Adjust. It also supports Pro DJ Link, letting you network up to four units (or link with laptops) via LAN to share beat grids and track data. A new addition in this version is a digital (coaxial) output for sending clean, unaltered audio, and the analog and digital sections use separate power supplies to reduce interference.
On the output side, you have an RCA analog out and a digital coax out. The unit’s S/N ratio is rated around 115 dB, and distortion is kept below 0.01 %. The unit is compact for what it offers: approximately 305 × 382.5 × 110 mm in size, and it weighs about 3.7 kg.
