About the player
The CDJ 3000X is the next evolution of Pioneer’s flagship media player, designed to bring DJs even closer to cloud, streaming, and touch-based workflows while retaining the club-standard layout. The CDJ 3000X features a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen that expands the user interface, allowing up to 16 tracks visible at once and enabling features like playlist editing, track reordering, and improved browsing on the fly. The jog wheel has been redesigned for smoother performance and offers a broader tension adjustment range, so DJs can dial in the feel they prefer—from light and quick to heavy and resistant. Under the hood, it uses a high-performance ESS DAC and a new power circuit to boost audio clarity, tighten low end, and reduce noise, resulting in a cleaner, more refined output.
Connectivity is modern and robust: dual USB-C ports (one for PC/Mac, one for storage), plus a USB-A for conventional drives, built-in Wi-Fi for wireless access to cloud libraries, NFC and QR login for fast linking to your phone, and full support for cloud services. The unit supports record playback even if connectivity or USB fails, by caching the entire track into memory. In terms of software compatibility, the CDJ-3000X unlocks rekordbox Performance mode automatically and also supports USB HID control for Serato DJ Pro (license required). It retains Pro DJ Link via LAN, analog RCA output, digital coax output, and a lockable power cable to prevent accidental disconnections during performance.
On the user features side, the CDJ 3000X introduces Touch Cue, where you can touch the waveform to cue in headphones, and Gate Cue, which plays audio only while a Hot Cue is held—allowing for more expressive, rhythmic performance. The Play and Cue buttons have been reengineered for greater durability (surviving over 500,000 presses). Plus, Smart Cue and Smart Hot Cue workflows help with fast cue setting and unit transitions, especially during live sets.
