Key features of the CDJ 1500X
The AlphaTheta CDJ 1500X is the long-awaited successor to the compact multi player line, the first since the XDJ-1000MK2. The headline is the screen: the same 10.1 inch capacitive touchscreen as the flagship CDJ-3000X, so browsing your library, stacking waveforms and touch previewing tracks feels exactly like the club standard. Eight Hot Cue buttons sit above the jog, and the whole layout is designed so everything you learn here transfers straight to a CDJ-3000 booth.
It is also the most connected player in its class. Built-in Wi-Fi unlocks CloudDirectPlay and StreamingDirectPlay, so you can pull tracks from your cloud library or streaming services without a laptop, and NFC login gets you into your rekordbox profile with a tap. It plays from USB as you would expect, and links with DJM mixers and other players over Pro DJ Link. It even supports CoBeat, AlphaTheta's new crowd request service, putting song requests directly on the player's screen.
The compact footprint is the point: full club performance in a body that fits cramped booths, bars and home studios. Pair one with a DJM mixer for a space-saving setup, or run two for a proper club-style rig without the flagship price tag.
