The Pioneer DDJ SZ is a flagship 4‑channel professional DJ controller built for Serato DJ Pro, designed to closely mirror the club-standard CDJ‑2000NXS and DJM mixer setup. Released in 2014, it features large 206 mm aluminum jog wheels with adjustable tension and in‑jog displays, offering a responsive, CDJ-like feel ideal for mixing and scratching.

The DDJ SZ mixer section includes familiar features like Sound Color FX, a Magvel contact‑free crossfader with adjustable curve, and dual USB ports that allow seamless DJ changeovers by connecting two laptops simultaneously. Each deck has eight large, velocity-sensitive performance pads (sixteen in total) for hot cues, rolls, slicer, and sampler control, alongside a dedicated oscillator section adding live effects like horn, siren, noise, and cymbal. Built with a robust metal chassis, the DDJ SZ also functions as a standalone four‑channel mixer with phono and line inputs for external CDJs or turntables, making it flexible for hybrid setups and DVS control.
